2 to Go Support Local Charity

2 to Go are proud to announce that they are now patrons of their local HomeStart branch. They were approached by Dukeries HomeStart earlier in the year and jumped at the chance to support them.

The charity trains volunteers to give practical and emotional support to families with children under 5 years old which are experiencing difficult times. Situations can vary from isolation, physical or mental illness, bereavement, multiple births to simply finding parenthood difficult to deal with. 2 to Go performed at their 25th Anniversary celebration party in July and really enjoyed meeting the team, volunteers and children. A good time was had by all!

2 to Go - The Future

2 to Go are currently working on putting a live band together, so watch this space and expect to see us performing completely live with our new musicians soon!...

“We have always loved the idea of working with a live band and we can’t wait to get started!” – Pete. “We feel it will add another dimension to us and enable us to offer two different live experiences!” – Emma.

If you’ve caught Pete singing solo recently, no you’re not seeing things! Pete is now doing some solo gigs just to widen his musical horizons and also because Emma is currently spending quite a bit of time in the USA visiting her husband, Chris who’s working there. We haven’t fallen out or split up!

2 to Go appear in Wedding Ideas Magazine!

We were delighted to discover that we recently featured in the ‘Real-life Weddings’ section of the magazine in a write up of a wedding at which we played at the end of 2006 in Weeley, Essex!

The lavish event was quite a success and the lovely couple thoroughly enjoyed their very special day.

Much later with Jools...

Emma and Pete were lucky enough to recently work with Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. The event, a wedding, held in Weeley Heath near Clacton–on–Sea was a great success.

2toGo were lucky enough to catch Jools before he went on stage. Jools said he really enjoyed their set. Emma says "Hearing him and his fabulous musicians was an inspiration!"

2006 Summer Season ends...

Pete and Emma have finished an extremely successful season at Haven Holidays in Eastern England. They would like to thank everyone who came to saw them and extend their thanks to all the team at Haven for their warm welcome and help throughout the Summer.

Emma says, "we've made some really good friends and will miss them", Pete added that he "hopes to keep in touch with them – and you never know – we might be back next year!"

2toGo at the races! June 2006

2toGo played to very receptive audiences at Derby Day on Saturday June 3rd at Epsom Racecourse. Over 100,000 people in their best attire, flooded through the gates at this prestigious sporting event, including Her Majesty The Queen.

As the glorious sun shone down on us, throughout the day, we performed a selection of our favourite tracks from the Motown classics to our rendition of Gnarles Barkley’s ‘Crazy’. A great day was had by all, particularly Pete who (with a little help from his friends!) managed to pick the 1st and 2nd winning horses! So the celebratory drinks were on him!

Thanks to all the people who were there listening and to all who were involved in organising this great event.
